Abstract

This article presents a text, titled KhwajaHasanNizami by Dr Ghulam Yazdani. The text remained unedited in any collection focusing the genre of sketch writing particularly sketches written by a renowned writer Khwaja Hasan Nizami. Dr Salman Shahjahanpuri edited some sketches of Khwaja Hasan Nizam but does not include the text being produced. The writer of this sketch Dr Ghulam Yazdani himself a known name among his contemporaries and was awarded OBE in recognition of his scholarship. He was a man of many talents. He authored books in Urdu and English. He edited many rare texts of classical nature in Urdu language. The editing of classical texts Shahjahan Nama and Mathnavi Maulana Rom are remembrance of his toil. His works on archeology were well received by the experts of the field. His research on gravestone written in Arabic and Persian language is remarkable to some extent. The text being produced here has many things new about Khwaja Hasan Nizam to share.
