Abstract

This article presents three unpublished letters of Maulana Syed Abul A’ala Maududu to Mirza Aziz Faizani Darapuri. Darapuri was a poet, prose writer and newspaper editor of many known news outlets reckoned to contribute their best. The article provides details of works by Darapuri. In its beginning, the article presents briefly the style of Maulana epistles. In one of his letters, Maulana shed light on using word aasar and proved it with credible sources. Maulana advising Darapuri to provide suitable title for his peotic collection. The letters show that the authors had concerns due to scanty supply of papers in market. Maulana offered solutions to deal with short supply of papers. Darapuri was advised to travel in order to cope up with the sad incidents of his life as Mualana found it necessary to change place of his living during the sad ordeal of events in order to mitigate.
