Abstract
The Indian subcontinent possesses a rich tradition of Persian prose and poetry .We see distinct manuscripts of Persian of archaic value .This indigenous article introduces us to the treasure trove of a unique, old and archaic Persian manuscript which dates back to 1805.This manuscript can be seen on the website of Pennsylvania university's library website with the identical bookmark named (Lewis -0- 086).In this article ,one may indicate the tradition of Persian in the subcontinent and its richness in literary taste . Surprisingly this article describes the whole manuscript which is named as Jacob's manuscript as it has been compiled by a Jew who seemed to be a traveler and spent some of his life spam in Kashmir .This article will also be helpful for understanding the literary taste of that time when great Mughal Empire was on its downfall and literati were hoping against the hope while trying to connect their future with local rulers and Darbar.
