Abstract

A novel presents a parallel vision of life between us. Some ceremonial novels from world literature have depicted a parallel world and acclaimed critical response such as War and Peace, Crime and Punishment, Moby Dick and this list is still incomparable and incomplete due to the literary significance the said genre. Urdu novel before independence has created a world of its own and one may notice the lifestyle of urban class with historical references through it while the aftermath of independence and impacts has clearly emerged in Pakistani urdu novel .This article traces out the subject matter , literary movements and experiments of Pakistani Urdu Novelists. It also presents some of the rare -read Novels in which Intezar Hussain's (Tazkira تذکرہ) of pivotal specifications due to Pakistan's current scenario. One may notice the paradigm change in literary scene through the classification of era.
